Service Description

Key Steps a Diligent Craftsman follows: 1. Remove the Old Blind - Most blinds are held by two or more mounting brackets. - Locate the bracket covers or clips and open them - Lift or slide the headrail out of the brackets - Remove any valances or additional hardware 2. Unscrew and Remove Old Brackets - You need a clean surface for the new hardware. - Use a screwdriver or drill to remove the screws - Keep old screws in a cup in case you need them later - Gently pull brackets away from the wall or frame 3. Measure and Mark for the New Blind - Accuracy Matters - Proper alignment ensures the blind hangs straight and operates smoothly. - Hold the new blind headrail in place to test fit - Mark screw hole locations with a pencil - Use a level to ensure the brackets will be even 4. Install the New Mounting Brackets - These brackets support the entire blind. - Position brackets on your pencil marks - Drill pilot holes if needed - Secure brackets with screws until snug (not overtightened) 5. Attach the New Blind - Once brackets are secure, the blind can be mounted. - Slide or snap the headrail into the brackets - Ensure both sides click or lock into place - Test the blind by raising/lowering it 6. Install Any Additional Hardware - Some blinds include valances, wands, or tension devices. - Clip on valances or decorative covers - Attach tilt wands or cords if separate - Install child‑safety tensioners if included 7. Final Cleanup - A tidy finish makes the job feel complete. - Vacuum or wipe the sill and floor - Dispose of old blinds or set aside for recycling
